Deer feed management

Deer feed management

This guide explains two simple calculators for deer farmers. Feed Intake works out the feed that hinds, hind and fawn pairs and growing weaners need to reach their liveweight targets. Feed Allocation works out things like the area, the number of animals or the days a paddock will cover for pasture or crops. It notes that the calculators do not give advice on the feed needed to reach production targets.
